SIERRA RIDGE Kennels was established in 1984. Our kennel is dedicated to the improvement of the ridgeback breed and the continuing education of the public.
SIERRA RIDGE is located about 40 miles East of San Francisco, California in the small agricultural town of Brentwood. My name is Theresa Bowermaster and I am a member of theRhodesian Ridgeback Club of the United States and a Founding Member of the Bay Area Rhodesian Ridgeback Club. As such, I subscribe to a Code of Ethics.
All SIERRA RIDGE breeding dogs are x-rayed and certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) to be free of hip and elbow dysplasia. I provide a written health guarantee that goes home with every puppy.
SIERRA RIDGE has produced many Champion, Obedience and Companion dogs. We currently have dogs performing in Conformation, Obedience, Agility and Lure Coursing.
An investment in a SIERRA RIDGE puppy is an investment in a quality animal and should not be entered into lightly. A Rhodesian Ridgeback can live to be 15 years old and a potential owner must be committed to a long-term relationship.
SIERRA RIDGE is not a commercial kennel. We have only one litter every other year and adhere to the strictest of breeding practices. SIERRA RIDGE breeds only OFA certified dogs. Our OFA certified breeding stock can be traced back for generations, as shown on each pedigree. We breed a dam no more often then every other season, never past 7 years of age, and most puppies are spoken for before the breeding is performed.
